A Glimpse of Ancient Vietnam

In the weeks ahead, the playtest team for "Ming General - The Annam Campaign", will be offering us sneak peeks of the new custom campaign.

The first teaser screenshots are now available in the Emperor Heaven gallery.

Designer Gweilo adds this commentary:

The first teaser screenshots are minimaps of the two game-maps this campaign will use. They are both humid-climate and enormous size. Progress on this project is going well.

Prepare for Beauty and Bloodshed

For millenia, the Detian Waterfalls have been a symbol of power and beauty in western Guangxi province. Located on the border of China and Vietnam, this region was used as a staging point for the invasion of Annam (ancient Vietnam) by armies of the Ming empire in the early 15th century CE.

Designer Gweilo will attempt to bring the Ming annexation of Vietnam to life in his new custom campaign entitled "Ming General - The Annam Campaign". Work is already underway, and the anticipated release date is July, 2006. Stay tuned for future news on this project in the weeks ahead!
