Huang Di - The Yellow Emperor
The Chinese people often refer to themselves as the descendants of Huang Di, the Yellow Emperor, a possibly part-real, part-legendary personage who is credited with founding the Chinese nation. Legend says that Huang Di lived in a magnificent palace in the Kunlun Mountains in the west, with a heavenly door keeper who had the face of a man, the body of a tiger and nine tails. The Kunlun Mountains were full of rare birds, animals, exotic flowers and plants, and Huang Di had a pet bird that helped take care of his clothes and personal effects.
Huang Di is often attributed with the invention of writing, the compass, the pottery wheel and drawing up the first calendar used by the Chinese people. His wife, Lei Zu, is said to have taught the people to raise silkworms and weave beautiful silk fabrics.
He is renowned as a military leader and is said to have ruled all the tribes on the central plains in an area stretching east to the sea, west to today's Gansu province, south to the Yangtze River and north into today's Shanxi and Hebei provinces. Legend has it that he lived to be 110 years old and then a dragon came and took him back to Heaven where he belonged.

Huang Di's military prowess is as an archer. He has lower attack points than the other military heroes but he has missile attack points to make up for this. He is a very good fighter as long as you do not allow the enemy to engage him in hand to hand combat. Keep him back and let him fire his arrows from a distance. Because of this I would not recommend using him in MP missions where you send him to conquer another player as they can use this weakness against him. See the Hero Hit Points table for more details.
