Military Deathmatch missions
A Tale of Two Cities
by Stringbags
In the year 100BC Dai Mu of Qufu offered his daughter, Lotus Blossom, to be married to the son of An Guo of Bo. This would unite the two cities and ensure peace in the region. But when the son of An Guo, Si Pan, saw Lotus Blossom for the first time he refused to marry her and Dai Mu declared that he would not rest until Bo was razed to the ground for this terrible insult. War reigns in the region and only the distant neutral city of Pingyang will trade so it would be unwise to displease them.
Competitive Deathmatch mission
Up to 2 players
A 1 vs 1 deathmatch military style game. The first city to conquer the other wins, no other goals, though making money may be as important in winning as a strong army is. The time this mission takes and the difficulty of it depends a lot on who your opponent is. Both common and elite housing is available so a large army is possible, and choosing and using the right hero is also usually very important. There is only one non player city active and as it is a distant city they cannot be allied with either player.

The Strongest Dynasty
by BobT
Battle with your ally against two other strong foes. Each of the two factions in this battle will require a strong team effort in order to declare their dynasty as the strongest. This four player mission is a 2 vs 2 death match. Players will need to depend on each other in order to survive. Plan your dynasty as only a powerful leader can. Will you produce the weapons and resources needed to survive. Or will you be called upon to farm the fertile lands. Will you have the finances to sponsor a strong army, or will you need to call upon heros to help. Everything is available to each player. As the game unfolds, players will need to establish trade with their partner. Once the trading facility is built, players will need to present the raw materials they have available to the trading post. This will in turn allow their partner to produce finished goods as well. Its a matter of trade.
Competitive Deathmatch mission
Up to 4 players
The mission text describes this mission very well. You and a partner play against 2 other players, trying to be the first team to defeat one of the other cities. Both people in each team have the same map but your entrance to the city is on the other side of a range of mountains or a river and each city in each pair has its own strengths and weaknesses. One has the resources needed to produce weapons and ceramics but very little food, the other can produce lots of food but only can import a small amount of iron early and has no clay. You need to support your partner, both in goods and possibly with military aid. Work in concert to attack one or both of the other pair, but remember to watch your own defences. Elite housing is available in all cities. This mission really requires all 4 cities to have players to work well.
