The building of The first emperor’s city started in January 221 and was finished in 213, the Tarracotta Army starts in 212 and was finished in 203. So it took me 9 years to complete this mission. I don’t recall having Xi Wang Mu in my city during the first emperor’s city (but I guess so), but at the beginning of the Tarracotta Army it was impossible to call her help because of bad Daoist covering. And yes indeed my ‘workers block’ didn’t have access to the Daoists, so I had to reshape this one a little bit (at the back). But as soon that was arranged we could get back constructing the monuments once I had found a proper space for those huge buildings. But that seemed to be not of a problem, so the construction began.

While constructing the monuments, I did some changes to my city in order to make it more beautiful and efficient. I changed the ceramics industrial block and made a new lacquermakers block. The first one was meanly for the offering and for the giveaways the second was to cash money. The lacquermakers block was very close to the trading stations. If you have downloaded my first emperor’s city you will perhaps notice that I have moved some of the trading stations a little bit, that in order to make it possible to let the imperial way go from the entrance of my city to the exit at the back.

I also did some reshaping in the farms and Silkworm Sheds, I removed one farm, removed one hemp farm (instead ought some hempà and I added 4 silkworm sheds, this also in order to cash money.

I also added one block of Impressive Compounds to cash money. This was a tricky situation because the block is completely at the back. First I did some testing with the market (food shop) to see whether it worked (meaning getting food) and it did. Suddenly I figured that it was better to put the market a few tiles further and the market employee suddenly refused my demand to cooperate. The critical point (of no returnà was reached, he didn’t even wanna go. So I had to rethink it all, the main trouble I had was to give a deacent place for the warehouse. But I managed to find a nice place. It is not the most stable block, due to the fact that the market is a little bit to far from the block, causing bad entertainment access (it then became clear to me that you really have to take those guys into consideration and that it is a determinating factor for the distance between the market and the housing block).

In the meantime my army was at it’s full potential and I decided it was time to teach those bastards from the nomad camps a lesson, and they were logically defeated as my spy did some good sabotage before I attacked them.

The monuments were suddenly ready, time for a rapid final touch, the beautifications and the defensive walls … . It’s time to download.
